Wollondilly Business Chamber Inc stands as a vibrant cornerstone within the Wollondilly business landscape, offering a gateway to a thriving business ecosystem.

Formerly known as Picton Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc, the Chamber was established in the mid-1970s by a collaborative group of local businesses. Its primary objective was to advocate for the dedication of lands for parking, reflecting its commitment to addressing the practical needs of the community. Since then, the Chamber has evolved significantly, embracing a broader mission to foster business growth, facilitate networking opportunities, and promote community engagement.

The Chamber has influenced the region through initiatives like the Picton Harvest Festival, now Illuminate, and supporting tourism. It is also active in community projects and fundraising efforts, such as the installation in January 2024 of two Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in Picton, underscoring its dedication to community well-being and safety.

In the 2024 financial year, our Chamber saw unprecedented growth, doubling its membership numbers and attendance at meetings. The diversity and location of new member businesses sent a clear message that we are supporting and representing businesses across the entire Wollondilly, not just in one or two towns.

At the April 2024 general meeting, the executive committee informed members of its desire to change the name of the Chamber to Wollondilly Business Chamber Inc to better reflect the span of our membership and to give us a greater collective voice. On 22nd May 2024, a resounding vote of support was received from members, and Wollondilly Business Chamber was born.
